An exhibition of Islamic paintings has been held by the Office of Education for Minority of India People at the gallery of the National University of Delhi.
The exhibition was opened on July 7 at a ceremony by D.T. Singh Sang, the Malaysian ambassador to India.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the ambassador said that the works by Mohammad Tabriz Alam are mainly created on Islamic issues including Islamic policy and culture. There are also tableaus by the artist on nature sceneries as well as social problems.
Gazanfar Zaidi, head of the painting department at the university also congratulated Mohammad Tabriz Alam for presenting his artworks at the first Islamic exhibition of the national university of the country.
It is open to those interested in culture and art, from 10 am to 6 pm. local time until July 12.
