The Indian Institute of Management, Shillong, will inaugurate a two-day residential managerial development programme titled Zen and Art of Executive Leadership on its Mayurbhanj Palace campus tomorrow.
The aim of the programme is to build quality leaders for the future, both in the corporate world and organisations in general.
The programme will be held on July 11 and 12 under the directorship of Professor Swapan Kumar Majumdar.
“We are confident of offering a contemporary and up-to-date content on leadership with a focus on executive leadership, wherein we shall also be referring to cases of Harvard Business Review and Kellog School of Business,” Majumdar said.
Majumdar has over 30 years of varied sectoral experience in education, consulting and industries across India and the world.
Around 25 participants, mostly middle and senior level executives from corporate organisations across the country, have enrolled for the programme. It is aimed at exposing participants to several aspects of leadership, including a description of leadership and several popular theories and styles of leadership.
Experts offering the course believe participants will leave with a customised personal leadership development plan, prepared to step up to a new level of leadership and deliver greater value for their organisation.
